About Our Free English Classes

The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program at Friendly House offers English language classes from basic to high intermediate levels. The goal of the program is to provide English Language learning as well as support for transitioning students into higher education or the job market. The program integrates the four components of English learning (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with job readiness skills such as resume writing and interviewing skills. Friendly House offers additional support for workforce preparation through an IET (Integrated Education Training) program to help adult education students improve occupational skills.  Eligible students can enroll in a class for Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (Microsoft Word). 

Most classes will be hybrid (online [Zoom] and in-person) sessions. In-person classes are at 802 S 1st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003  Proposed schedule below - (schedule subject to change):
