Academia del Pueblo School is applying for the 21st Century after school grant to the US Department of Education for the 2020 to 2024 school years. This funding will help us with after school tutoring, sports programs and family engagement events. The grant is due on Monday, May 6th. Lineworker APS Scholarship

APS and Friendly House have partnered to provide scholarships up to $10,000 to individuals who are interested in pursuing a Lineworker career field. Scholarship recipients will be assisted with training cost and be provided support through out program participation.

Local Organizations Join Forces to Help Eligible Residents Apply for Citizenship

Friendly House joins four local organizations to provide eligible permanent residents free resources and assistance on their path to citizenship. The free citizenship workshop will take place Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rose Lane Park located at 5003 W. Marlette Ave. in Glendale.

Thunderbird Charities Grants Friendly House $100K to Support YouthBuild Education and Workforce Program

The Thunderbirds Charities grant will help expand the program to about 100 participants per year composed of “opportunity youth,” 16 to 24-year-olds who are unemployed and not in school, in the target areas of Phoenix and Glendale.
U.S. Department of Labor Awards Friendly House with $1 Million Grant

The Friendly House administration is proud to announce its selection as a recipient of the “Pathways to Justice Careers for Youth” grant. Issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, this grant amounts to $1 million over the next three years and will help serve the youth with workforce development and adult education services in the justice career fields.
