The Friendly House Tamale Dinner is a tradition in Phoenix like no other. For 73 consecutive years along with having a wonderful tamale dinner, we've celebrated the world of traditional music and song, dancers and costumes and color and pageantry. When you discuss the history of Phoenix,  The Friendly House Tamale Dinner plays an important role as one of  the longest running community events in our city and state.

Due to the growth and success of this event, last year we decided to change our venue to enable us to accommodate all of our friends and supporters of Friendly House.  We moved our Annual Tamale Dinner to Corona Ranch. Corona Ranch and Rodeo Ground is located on the SE corner of 29th Ave. and Baseline.  There you'll find lots of free parking and a venue that can only compare to visiting old Mexico.

Last year more than 2200 people attended and enjoyed the fantastic cuisine of Food City, the Music of Mariachi Viva, the Fiesta Mexicana Ballet Folklorico and the Friendly House Ballet Folklorico, it  was just an amazing event.

Thank you  Coca-Cola for providing the Cokes, Sprite and water.  Thank you Arizona Public Service, State Farm, Cingular Wireless, CBS 5 and the Friendly House staff for your volunteerism efforts... we couldn't  do it without you.

Muchas Gracias  to all of our sponsors for making this Phoenix tradition possible: Arizona Public Service, Food City, CBS 5, Countrywide Home Loans, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Salt River Project, General Dynamics, State Farm Insurance, Compass Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Wells Fargo Bank,
