Early Childhood Development Center:
During the Christmas break, we had some visitors. No, not Santa but two special children – a brother and a sister who were now big kindergartners. The parent and children came in to the center like it was home. They said hello to everyone and then mom left to go to work. The center’s caregiver was so happy to see these two kids that hugs were in order and everyone was happy for that day.
Five months prior to that day, these same two children were saying farewell to our center and our staff. This same caregiver could not be consoled, as she was attached and loved the children and didn’t want them to leave, but it was time for them to leave, as the wonderful world of kindergarten awaited them.
This is a true story. These two children arrived at our center as infants, a mere three months old when mom first brought them to us. The kids went through all of the stages of development with us; infant (six weeks to one year), toddler (one year to three years old) and pre-k (three years to 5 years). Everyone in the center got to know these kids and the children thrived.
We were very happy to learn from mom that they didn’t have any problems transitioning to kindergarten. They were both doing well academically and their behavior was excellent in and out of the classroom. Mom spoke with us at length and told us that she always recommends our center to friends and family. She would never would have taken her children anywhere else
