GED Graduation 2010
Graduation means something special to everyone. Our graduates come from all walks of life, they may have many different beliefs but all of them know the value of education. This commencement was a time for our students, together with their family and friends, to reflect on that achievement and appreciate their own hard work and success. Each student used their determination and dedication to overcome obstacles and succeed in reaching their educational goals. For this reason, the commencement marks a turning point in so many lives. From this moment on, new opportunities will be available to each of them. This is only the beginning. They will now be able to move forward in their lives, establish their careers or enter college. And while this is a certainly a moment of great importance, it is only one of the many that they will have in life. We need to give emphasis to this day because it marks a moment when our students are given the recognition they so richly deserve. It was truly heartwarming to see how much everyone appreciated being part of the commencement ceremony. A sea of emotion crowded the room as friends and family cheered, applauded, smiled, laughed and even cried during the commencement. It was plain to see how much this event meant to everyone there. The pride of achievement and stirring sense of accomplishment was felt everywhere. One could tell, this was truly an event of the heart . – Diane Young, AmeriCorp Volunteer
