FREE CONSULTATIONS EACH MONTH:
One Friday each month, the department offers free consultations to
the general public on a first come, first served basis. No
appointments are available for the "intake"
sessions. Please call the Friendly House receptionist
at (602) 257-1870 for information on the next scheduled free
session.
CURRENT LEGISLATION IN CONGRESS:
Friendly House is actively supporting two immigration bills currently in Congress. Senate Bill
S-774, the DREAM ACT of 2007, and HR-1275, the American Dream
Act. These are bi-partisan bills, if passed, would allow
immigrant students who have grown up in this country, graduated
from a U.S. high school, and have no criminal record, the
opportunity to attend college and eventually apply for legal
permanent residence. For more information on these bills and
what you can do to help, please contact CADENA at (602)667-6200 or
(602) 841-4100
