Fiesta de Friendly House
October 25, 2008
Corona Ranch & Rodeo Grounds

It took only a few years for the annual "Fiesta de Friendly House" to become one of the premiere events of the year in the Hispanic community. The quality of this event speaks for itself. Annually more than 1000 business and community leaders, alumni of Friendly House and supporters make it a point to attend. It's a perfect venue for old friends and new to come together and celebrate the work of Friendly House.

It's with a great deal of pride and pleasure that once again, our signature sponsors for this event will be Food City along with Arizona Federal, Arizona Republic, La Voz and CBS5.

This is the fourth year that we celebrate with CBS5 and we are extremely pleased to have them join us.  Kent Dana, Catherine Anaya and Sean McLaughlin will serve as our Masters of Ceremony, make periodic announcements, and join in all of the fun and excitement.  They will also be doing live announcements on the air from the event.

Once again, we will have a number of caterers providing their special signatures dishes to all attendees just for the price of admission.   AJ's, Food City, El Portal, and of course Corona Ranch just to name a few will serve an assortment of their fine cuisine  for your eating pleasure. Our local wine distributors will have more than 100 different varieties for you to sample and our local beer distributors will be on hand so that you may try an assortment of beers new to the marketplace.

The silent auction tables will have treasures to behold. More than 150 auction items will go to the highest bidders, items that include weekend getaways, art works, appliances, sound equipment, packages for that special someone in your life, dinners and much, much more.

Immediately following the last auction table is closed, we will have an "after-glow" party where you can dance or just kick back and listen to the music, and basically just have a good time until about midnight.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 25th, 2008 and plan to attend the "Fiesta de Friendly House" wine tasting, silent auction and "after-glow" party at Corona Ranch.

A Very Special Thanks...

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board of Directors and staff  along with the many, many volunteers that made this event possible.  Laura Garcia of State Farm brought together nearly one hundred volunteers and coordinated their activities to make this run smoothly.  Sam Chavira of the United Firefighters pulled together several off duty firefighters to help.  Suzie Moreno has been non-stop energy in her quest to make this event the success that it always is and Tom Swanson of Food City has been there at every turn to make sure we have what ever we needed to ensure success.

To all of you from the Steering Committee of Fiesta de Friendly House 2006, a giant MUCHAS GRACIAS.
